A study was carried out by researchers from the University of Oxford, the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Oslo in Norway that Vitamin B tablets could slow and even stop Alzheimer's disease using large daily doses of vitamin B may halve the rate of brain shrinkage, a process that can precede Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Over 270 people over 70 years of age took part in this 2 year study. Early indications are promising but researchers say there is a way to go to proving a definitive link. They also noted that the safety of vitamin usage was good.
